5 Reasons Why You Must Work Hard

In my book “Rules That Help” Hard Work is defined as Work that challenges you or work that is not easy.  In this life, it is obvious that many people will rather do those things that are easy and not tasking and avoid work that is hard, that is why you should do the opposite if you really want to stand out among the crowd.

You should know that when you restrain yourself to do what is hard; you are going to have great results that everyone else cannot get. The eagerness to subject yourself to do what is difficult is  like having a key to a special treasure room and when you eventually unlock it every other person will  be surprised.

Hard work really pays, whoever tells you otherwise is simply lying but the big secret is that in life there is nothing too difficult.  Whatever your goal is you can get there if you are willing to work hard.

The following are some of the reasons why you must work hard.
There is no alternative to hard work:

If you actually want to be an outstanding individual, you must work hard.  This is because every meaningful purpose requires hard work.  Hard work is what you should look forward to because it will lead you to a tremendous growth.  The more you develop the understanding that certain goals aren’t going to flow into your life; they are only going to happen if you will act as the driving force to bring them into existence, the better for you.  If you want to leave a mark on the sands of time, then hard work is the price to pay.  There are no shortcuts.

To live the kind of life you want:

Not being fulfilled brings about lot of limitations. There are so many people who had great ideas but because they have no means of bringing it to reality, they die with their visions.  Imagine how disorganized you will be if at the end of the month, after working so hard and made plans on how you will manage the meagre salary you are being paid and your employer tells you the company is not making money so you cannot get your pay.  You need to work hard to be able to make money for yourself and use it the way you want.  Living at the dictate and mercy of someone else is quite frustrating and enslaving, that is why you must work hard so that you will live the kind of life you want to live.

Depending on people for help all the time makes you less human.

You will agree with me that when you want to borrow money from someone, you will need to explain yourself to your lender and at times you will let out your secrets or make up lies to convince him to lend you the money.  How will you discover your potentials if you have not tried to find out who you are?  So many people who swallow in abject poverty are because they have not taken the time to discover their God given gifts.  When you have the mindset that someone somewhere is going to solve your problem, you will not have the zeal to try what you can do for yourself.  You have limited yourself from achieving your potentials and people around you will see you as liability.

Choosing the easy way to succeed always leads to blind alley.

Many people who end up being armed robbers, 419, drug peddlers, prostitutes etc are people who want to make it without working so hard.  They take shortcuts and at the end of the day, they will not live to enjoy what they suffered for.  Hard work is a long term investment; the anguish of working hard will eventually turn into happiness when you begin to reap the fruit of hard work. Will you not rather want to work hard in the early years of your life than enjoying now and live in penury when you are getting old?  Dear friends, no matter how long it takes, hard work really pays off and there is no more truth other than that.

Because you want to succeed:

After so many years of living your life ordinarily without making an impact, you will say ah! I want to move forward.  This will only be achieved with a stint of hard work.  Many men and women around the world who achieved fame and greatness are all those who worked hard in life.  Mandela of South Africa is one of the greatest living legends in Africa.  He worked so hard to liberate South Africans from Colonial rule. He was imprisoned severally, yet he was not deterred from achieving his goal and today he is greatly honoured around the whole world.
